MN Cyber Range: The Ultimate Platform to Learn Incident Response and Handling

Keep it Safe

Faisal Kaleem
Professor, Metropolitan State University

MN Cyber Range is an advanced military-grade hyper-realistic simulation platform for training information security professionals, assessing incident response processes, and testing new technologies. A cyber range recreates the experience of responding to a cyber-attack by replicating the security operations center (SOC) environment, the organizational network and the attack itself. As a result, it enables hands-on training in a controlled and secure environment.

Come experience the MN Cyber Range in this hands-on tech lab and understand how it can help improve the overall incident response capability of your organization! (Laptop computers will be provided.)

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand how MN Cyber Range provides an effective platform to learn Incident Response and Handling.
  2. Learn how to effectively communicate with the rest of the team members and understand how to contain and remediate breaches.
  3. Identify how and when the incident occurred and determine what was changed and exploited by the adversaries.
