Data is a critical operational and strategic asset that transcends the generational lifespan of many technologies. This session will outline an approach used in Washington County for how to deal with legacy data to support the needs of the organization.

 Learning Objectives

  1. Explore circumstances that drove the need for a solution and the alternatives that were considered
  2. Discuss how the business and stakeholder needs help to shape a technical solution for preserving data  assets, and
  3. Review how Washington County will leverage learning to influence an overall data governance strategy.
