Learning Pathway: Mental Health
Current research indicates that daily environmental-relational circumstances and interactions have a profound influence on childhood development. This session will discuss how stress and anxiety impact learning and how to help create emotional stability and wellness in students.
Learning Objective 1: Participants will develop a deeper understanding of children, families, and cultures dealing with chronic stress and trauma.
Learning Objective 2: Participants will understand top down versus bottom up child behaviors.
Learning Objective 3: Participants will gain insights and strategies to make their classroom and school “Trauma Informed or Sensitive” and how to start making those changes.
