CHALLENGING STUDENTS WHO ALREADY KNOW “IT”
10:45 – 11:45 a.m. Concurrent Session
“What will we do if they already know it?” is the fourth ~ and perhaps most challenging ~ of Dufour’s questions that “should drive all instruction”. In this session we will explore ways to provide meaningful, engaging opportunities for those who “already know it.”
STUDENT-CENTERED LEARNING
Learning Objective 1: Attendees will be able to utilize pre-assessments to identify candidates that may master material and so need alternative learning opportunities.
Learning Objective 2: Attendees will be able to transfer and apply the session’s learning in their own classrooms.
Learning Objective 3: Attendees will be able to improve classroom management by reducing boredom and disengagement.
