SESSION CANCELED
EXPANDING YOUR VISION OF CAREER & COLLEGE READINESS
9:30 – 10:30 a.m. Concurrent Session
When we think about the young people we know in our own lives – and our wishes, hopes and dreams for their future, College and Career Readiness becomes a much more meaningful and urgent concept. However, preparing students for career opportunities that may not even exist yet can be a daunting task. As educators, there is actually a lot that we can do to help students become adaptable and able to move toward their aspirations.
During this session, we would like to walk participants through a process so that they are able to articulate and identify their district’s CCR strengths as well as next steps for growth. Staff at MDE have recently created a set of resources that we would like to share briefly in order to help districts start where they are and continue to grow their CCR programming and curriculum. Walking participants through the process will be the primary focus of the session. You will not want to miss these resources – this is an opportunity to shift the current culture and thinking around your CCR work.
